Unilight’s unique Equine Light emits a specific light spectrum, similar to the spectrum of daylight on a mid-summer day.
Daylight, and our Equine Light, has a greater proportion of blue spectrum light which suppresses melatonin production in horses.
Performance and other horses
The following graphs show the light spectrum of daylight compared with that emitted by Unilight’s Equine Light and a regular LED light bulb. The black curve shows the light spectrum required for melatonin suppression – as you can see both daylight and the Dairy Light emit a high level of blue light, whilst the the regular LED light emits very little light within the melatonin suppression curve.
